What this site is for

It exists to help someone who has lost a large amount of weight decide what to do next, and in what order. The operations themselves are documented elsewhere in the hospital's material, on the sites for body lift, tummy tuck, loose skin after weight loss and body contouring, and in the professional writing of the surgeons who perform them. Repeating that would add nothing. What is usually missing is the planning question: what this stage has actually changed, what has to be settled before anything is booked, which region should be treated first, and when the correct answer is to do nothing yet.

How it is written

Every guide takes one decision and works it through, and each states its limits as plainly as its benefits. Where an operation reaches a problem well, the text says so; where a device cannot reach it at all, the text says that too. Nothing here is written to make a plan sound shorter or easier than it is, no stage is recommended on the ground that it is available, and no result is promised.

What it will not do

It will not name brands of medicines, devices or materials: products and medicines are described by class only. It will not quote prices, because cost depends on a plan and a plan depends on an assessment. It will not publish dosages, energy settings or figures in kilograms as targets, and it will not invent credentials, awards or case volumes for any clinician. It will not suggest that aesthetic treatment after weight loss improves your health.

Medical review

The content is reviewed by Tongchun Mao, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Aesthetic Surgery at Chongqing West District Hospital, and is dated on every page. It is patient education, not medical advice: it does not describe your case, it does not know your weight history or your blood work, and it does not replace an assessment by a qualified clinician who has examined you.
